Mastery Levels would be better indictors of player skill than just the T1-T5 emblems.
For example a 250 level helicopter pilot has 7,500 kills, which would be more useful to know as their team mate than if they simply had T1 rated heli skills with 1,200 kills at Master level 40.
I've actually landed heli for certain random players and swapped positions when I see thy have way more skill than me as pilot. I never know by just their "T1" rating how good they are by looking at their player cards before the game launches, as most players can get 1,200 kills after a few months of trying, but the top players get to T1 in one or two weeks.
So yes, let us remove the T1 stuff as it is kind of useless to be honest as did they get the T1 badge in 100 hours or 10 hours...no way to know...

 - Hi @EA_Atic
sorry For the late reply.
I currently use the “they are everywhere” background/player card.
I appreciate your quick response and I hope you can remove the medals for me. - Bewilderbeest4 years agoSeasoned Novice
I have this issue too. Sometimes showing only one badge is the way you wish to display yourself to others

Moved to General Discussion as this is not a bug but working as designad.
Any constrictive feedback is welcome.

@EA_Atic thanks for clearing that up for us. Is there any plan to allow us to remove them or is it just going to be swap city?

Reminder: We are now 10 months post launch.
OK @EA_Atic ,
So when I reported on this at game launch the EA/DICE developer team recognized this as being a bug, as all descriptions of this functionality was that the players themselves could decide what badges to be shown or not.
And now here 10 months post launch you now conveniently just term it "by design".
If that is how you now go through the BF2042 bug list, then nothing will remain despite we as your beta testers and BF2042 guineapigs have been posting thousands of reports on BF2042 where functionality is not working for us. When we start out with a virgin soldier there are no badges attached. So by design its already possible to run without any. So of course its easy and possible just to add the 'remove badge' function. If this is truly the attitude of EA/DICE to just relegate it as 'oh no, now we just think its was intended by design, so not a bug anymore' then its again a clear expression of sloppy coding, laziness and no care for customer opinion/wishes.
I am so saddened to observe how EA/DICE is careless and sliding further and further off the mark for proper customer experience.
Not just by circumstantial accident but by deliberate 'design'.

It is probably the same reason one cannot empty the T system slots in the guns.

I just found this topic because I tried adding badges to my card, didn't like how they looked, and then couldn't remove them.
It's hard to believe this is how it's really supposed to work. It's frustrating, and as far as I'm concerned, players should have full liberty to remove any and all badges they've added.
And if the developer team really did recognize this as a bug, then it's pretty slick to subsequently re-categorize this as a "feature". Quick way to clear that pesky bug queue, eh?

Don't call bugs features, and don't gaslight your player base.
