It's now just an opportunistic joke weapon for infantry one shots and almost dead vehicles. So I think it deserves a better fitting name. There's no pros to out weigh the downsides. I would be fine with the dmg nerf if the rest of the downsides where balanced to at least make it still viable. However right now it slow so vehicles just take off for cover with ease and magically repair. At least when someone had to get out you could shoot them. Cycling spent rounds is slow but understandable. Now that it's mag is smaller you're stuck with an insanely long switch animation when empty more often. It's mid range so you're right next to the enemy team and will likely die during that switch if you didn't after the first few shots.I mean I guess it could be op if voip is ever enabled and you have at least 8 players agree to use them and target vehicles one at a time. However you might at well stick with 4-5 using recoilless/soflam or better yet the c5 silent drone. [title edited by moderator]

what are you supposed to do when waiting for right opportunity? use secondary gun?ntw is primary weapon, not like m5 recoiless.Even before nerf, if you die from ntw from far away, you have problem with your positioning, i mean who will drive the tank in the middle of battle or stand still without any coverits still take 5 shot (22 damage each) to take down before nerf, its a longgg time, vehicle have ton of times to move away repair, or simply hide behind cover.this nerf doesnt make any sense

@theCrazyOnes NTW-50 is not anti tank rifle. It's meant against lightly armored targets. It should do nothing against MBTs. It should work only against light and air vehicles. It was a joke that it could take out tanks with few bullets.

Sure that's fine but it doesn't work on light vehicles either and with all the downsides you're just a loud sitting duck for people to shoot after one shot. So in it's current state it doesn't accomplish any meaningful task.

@Lykosia on the heavy armor, it should take more bullet than light, it make more sense. but now it wont even effective any vehicles. thats the point, the nerf make this gun against it own purpose.

@SnubbyFighter But the problem is unless you get the kill shot you don't get any points. Also I agree the vehicle has to be on fire to destroy it. I'm running with the DXR-1 or SVK for distance shots. The NTW-50 reload speed is too slow and I already got it to T1 so into retirement it goes.

When the enemy vehicle is under attack by another player and is taking damage that's when you are supposed to use the anti material rifle.

I couldn't disagree more. The NTW-50 which is based off the NTW-20 is not some finisher gun. It's a gun that can destroy armored vehicles on it's own but now it's a complete joke thanks to DICE.

It doesn’t matter where the blame is. Just needs to be adjusted to be viable or removed. Because right now it’s useless.

It is reduced into being a noobcannon that is only good for camping down a long and narrow corridor with it, like the AT rifles in BFV

@SnubbyFighter just got a chance to play since the patch and yea, seems each round does like maby 10% damage to a tank....def not using this gun anymore, its worthless now, thanx alot devs!

@Tank2042ManIf anyone managed to lose their tank 100% to a pre nerf NTW at 100m distance, then either they failed as a tanker or the sniper was Stodeh.
I had already given up on using the NTW at least 1 week before the nerf due to how much one loses to gain its benefits.
1)A worse weapon vs short and mid range weapons
2)A worse weapon vs snipers as well as a playstyle that makes one a prime target for said snipers.
3)A weapon that manages to be harder to land than an M5 rocket at mid to long range.
So now as far I am concerned NTW is just a worse M5 recoiless that occupies a weapons slot instead of a gadget slot.
All it needed was a nerf vs heavy armored vehicles.
