Enough pitchforks always works
But imo the whole underbarrel being basically available on almost all weapons was a mistake anyway so is the implementation of the plus system. Especially considering you can throw like 3 types of underbarrels onto your weapon which is dumb as hell, the plus system isn't very well thought out to begin with with the ammo types plus the underbarrel issue. While the SCAR has a underbarrel as default it all makes zero sense.
I never got used to using them I find it very finicky for my playstyle and often the game gets stuck in the wrong mode and I cannot fire my weapon doesn't swap properly. So yeah never touched these things myself.
Think they should simply allow just 1 singular underbarrel in the plus system at a time if they up the ammo count again.
You are right about them being clunky to use, I think they messed something up in this season because they did not used to be so unreliable to switch between your gun and UBGL. There is also a bug now with EMP grenades that prevents you from changing fire modes off of the UBGL, so you have to switch to your secondary weapon then back to the rifle to be able to use it normally.

@SVND0WNOh ye that makes sense, then they should change the UI to show that, now it sorta looks like you are carrying with you 3 launchers. But again I think that should always be your first underbarrel slot and cannot have anything else, then the extra slots in the plus menu change to ammo types just like the railgun basically, just find it weird as hell atm. If it comes at a greater cost they can also reward that with more ammo.

Minimum would be shared ammo of 3 as there is 3 different types (AT launchers also have that). Thats the closest to previous 3 of each but instead if total 9 there would be 3. But the best would be 4 or 5 as thats the value most of the previous games gave had and a good compromise imo 😉 Remember still lot less than 9 which was up until now..
Cant compare to Hand Grenades as they have double/triple the power (kill radius) of the 40mm, even Scatter grenades are more powerful. Big difference.
So yeah DICE, how about this?
-> SHARED AMMO POOL!
Examples if you equip all types:
- Previously you had 3 of each for a total of 9.
- Currently you have 1 of each for a total of 3.
- New suggestion: shared ammo pool of maximum 5 total (or at least 3 shared).
That means if you fire 3 HE, you have only 2 smokes or 2 incendiary left or vice versa.
THAT sounds like a good compromise and good balance, right? Its also similar to previous BF games ie. BC2 had 4 in ammo, BF2 (2005) had 5.
I even recall that 2042 maybe had this shared ammo at launch but that they changed it in a patch, if so very weird..

Still the same with season 7, no change here apart from semi-reverting to only 2 AP grenades we got during a later season 6 update. I still stand by my suggestion of for example a shared ammo pool of 3 in total regardless of the type you use it for, thats a total of 3 compared to the old old total of 9. Or somewhere in between like I said, 5. Its just nerfed too hard right now, I barely see anyone use any underbarrel anymore.
