BF4's solution to visual recoil (and not just that, but also the sights blending into the sky or bright areas) was pretty nice, simple and effective. Just slap a crosshair in the middle of the screen in the shape of whatever the sight has, and let the player recolor it. It was sad to see it immediately gone in Hardline despite that game bordering on being DLC and never showing up again after. I think they should bring that back as an option...
An option that would also disable whatever else happened here, that Enders video is pretty spooky. And DMRs have definitely felt off to me now.
I have seen few people sometimes say that 2042's guns don't "feel punchy", and this is what DICE were likely trying to address here.
We want accessibility in the game, right?

So it’s only the “GUI weapon sight” that bounces?
i.e. where the bullets go and where your weapon sight shows you, you are aiming, are two different things.
That’s got to be the dumbest idea I can remember ever seeing in a Battlefield game.

The very least they should do is allow people to choose whether to have this visual recoil or not.
Some seem to like it, a lot don’t.
So maybe the easiest thing to do for everyone is to give it to us as an option like they did with the soldier sprint motion.
You can choose to have that active or not (it’s in the settings menu).
So just do the same with the visual recoil.
If this recoil really is just visual as dice claims, then no one will be advantaged or disadvantaged if they choose to use it or not.

I'm totally fine with playing with visual recoil on and knowing other people have it off.
