@RanzigeRidder2Maybe a dynamic requirement for the number of players to start a round? In Oceania I can't play an official game (Portal is fine, but it doesn't count for achievements) at any time because of the lack of players.
For example, an official game will automatically be created if a player has been waiting for x minutes. New players could be funneled into the existing game.
EA needs to be careful about selling a game in regions where players cannot play the game. Many countries outside the US have activist Consumer Protection laws that deal with companies that sell products that are 'not fit for purpose'.
I will be waiting until after the launch to see if I can even play the game.
@Lancelot_du_Lac If the player count for all official game modes is lowered to 1 that would be the ultimate solution and everybody would be happy.
It’s a shame how EA Dice treats people in less populated areas.
About those consumer protection laws, the question is how long after launch those can be enforced. As said in my opening post, the game has passed the 3-year mark, so following products life cycles a decline phase leading in to eventual obsolescence is to be expected.
