Rocket launchers gone?

Ok I just came back for the first time since the class update and I am confused. I know there are classes now and certain classes can only equip certain weapons.

I almost always play as Falck and unfortunately got used to having access to the rocket launcher and other lethas as she is completely useless against any type of vehicle in my hands with the new system. So I figure well I will select the assault class and use one there.

So I select Sundance who I have played for about 5 minutes in the past. As a matter of fact  I have only played one other character (Mackay) for longer than ten minutes in this class ever.

I quickly find out that their gadgets are limited to smoke launcher, armor plates, c5 (still don't understand how to use this) and claymore.

What has to be done in order to get a rocket launcher so I can at least potentially check a vehicle?

Do i have to start all over and "unlock" it? If so is it only available in the Assault class?

Sorry for the dumb question but I don't get it.
