- @SLAY3RBOI_ZA It's randomised.
Sometimes it stays put, Sometimes takes off, and sometimes it takes off and explodes as it starts to climb off the launch pad. Hi @SLAY3RBOI_ZA ,
Cannot say exactly what may trigger one event versus the other, but I have had all 3 endings quite regularly.
It may be caused by how effective the defending team protects the launchpad or not.
Seems to be so in the breakthrough mode.
And also think by attacking the launchpad and using the tank to shoot repeatedly at the rocket could trigger it to explode right then and there?
I haven't had much time on the defending team side there to test it out, but somebody in the community here may have some insights?
- YourLocalPIumber4 years agoSeasoned Ace@LOLGotYerTags I've played in Orbital 10-15 times since Nov 12th, and only seen it take off once. But that stupid tornado spawns every single game on every single map. IMO they should be reversed or at least proc rates change. Tornadoes should be more rare and rocket should take off more frequently
@UP_LordPlumberI have seen it take off on damn near ever round I have played. I have only seen it explode once though.
Yes the tornado got old super fast. I actually thought the tornado would be unique to Oribital, and that the other maps would have other weather effects or big levolution events, but its just the tornado on every map and no other map has anything like the rocket. On top of that the tornado doesn't even change the map like the levolution events used to do. It's doesn't alter or damage any parts of the maps.
It's basically just an unwanted annoyance that pops up every now and then- TTZ_Dipsy4 years agoLegend
Rocket explosions/takeoffs will be increased in a future patch - I saw a post about it on Twitter earlier today
I think when the launch site alarm is going off, if you shoot the rocket tanks/engine enough with explosive weapons it will explode.
now it only launches at the end of the round screen, Why DICE?
- @SLAY3RBOI_ZA Same here, I have never seen it take off, or even try to take off for that matter.
