Rockets to flare ratio
Why is it that I only get 3 rockets yet choppers and air vehicles get unlimited flares. It becomes very unbalanced especially since all they have to do is fly straight up and now you can't lock on to...
@anhuerta22you realize that by even not killing us you are annoying us and preventing us from being able to attack our targets? Even if we flare we need to break off and wait for a refresh or we will be shot down. We can be hacked, attacked by other jets, choppers, stingers, soflam, wildcats. Sraws coming tomorrow. Essentially we have 1 pass to make magic. We can flare that pass, and if we want to risk it we can come in if repairs are up and eat a shot. However were glass. We need the flares. Keep attacking us with stingers and get more to do so on your team. You will prevent us from doing anything. Were fleeing because you attacked us and we are useless until refresh unless we want to risk ourselves. Keep using stingers and replenishing them. As a jet main I will hate you :D
It's extremely sad what they did to vehicles because people are not working together. Partly due to dices poor squad management, creativity, and lack of communication.
here is another example of how stingers come into play. Enemy Pilot engages us. Gets lock and fires. We flare. You're on the ground with your stingers. You get a hit. Sometimes if other pilots are using IR missles flares wont shrug off the missles and you will kill us with your stingers.
Another issue is the flares are 100% effective when IRL they are not. IRL the pilot shoots the flares and pitches 90 degrees away from the flares all while reducing engine speed to try to reduce the heat signature of the target. This is all done to try to "confuse" the missile, and it doesn't work 100% of the time. Missiles today also have "CCM" technology which would further reduce the flares effectiveness.
@Djscherer1982True. I always wondered why DICE made the flares as they are. They dont act as flares are in the real world. At all. They dont make sense. They act as a ''press X button to get a guaranteed short (actually flare active effect is longest as ever been in a BF game) invincibility to the main AA weapon''. Then to reload shortly after and do it all again.
