What happened to your own team's aircraft though?
I will probably need to run more CQ to get a more hands-on experience of the situation.
But I have one thing to say: designating the enemy helicopters with a soflam or RAO will make life easier for your team.

Another one of those great addition by Dice; rocket pods for the jets, allowing them to join the infantry farming frenzy.- UP_Hawxxeye2 years agoLegend
@RanzigeRidder2
I met one of those jets rocketing. It was such an easy target for the 35mm of my wildcat.I would not really count on rocket pods for anything but the largest clusters of infantry. I consider the 25mm of the jet to be a better tool vs infantry than the rockets
- RanzigeRidder22 years agoLegend@UP_Hawxxeye my response was mainly to illustrate my answer to your question "What happened to your own team's aircraft though?" Giving the jets rocket pods facilitates in taking away more aerial combat focus, as they replace the jets IR missiles
Irregardless of being effective or not, there's no need for them in the game.

This topic is more specific about 30 mm wildcat being too weak after the 25% nerf against attack helis.

I have to admit that I did saw last night an attack helicopter with a very good pilot & gunner blow up not one but two wildcats in quick succession while the 2 cats were camping near the boundaries the map.
I wonder what the outcome would had been if the wildcards were using 35mm.
I will need more hands on experience to see how it feels from both sides.

try it out youlselve, go as close as you can with 30 mm, this gun cannot win even at extremely close range.
The 25% nerf was extreme, I guess a 10% decrease would be ok.
