@UP_Hawxxeye my response was mainly to illustrate my answer to your question "What happened to your own team's aircraft though?" Giving the jets rocket pods facilitates in taking away more aerial combat focus, as they replace the jets IR missiles

@RanzigeRidder2 Jet pilots mostly use 25mm on infantry. It takes 3-4 hits to take out infantry with pods and they are not as easy as in bf3.

I could only see the pods being viable in the unlikely scenario that most of the team is clustered within meters of each other for a Rush M-com etc.
Otherwise the 25mm is probably the most amazing infantry killer a jet has
