SCOPE REFLECTION
Scope reflection Get rid of the dam scope reflection and/or the option to disable it in the portal custom mode map making. Scope reflection, I get it, it's a form of equalization however unrealisti...
But you already have the death cam, right? So, being a "hidden sniper" doesn't really apply anymore.
It's just stupid that scopes on ANY rifle have "scope glint" in year 2042 since the technology to mask it has been around for decades already.
I get that but like I said with the kill cam and now with the new "ping" location system, being a "hidden sniper" is virtually impossible anyway and having a big shiny spotlight on your rifle saying HERE I AM! is just kind of obnoxious.
Scope glint/glare has a good reason to exist
However I wish there was a more flexible system for it.
Instead of a permanent light, I think the scopes should be glinting for like 30 seconds after the sniper has done a shot with his gun (aka be at a "Compromised status")
This way one sniper who is being a more realistic sniper who does mainly recon for the team through the scope and does not touch the trigger unless there is a high value target with a good chance to be killed, will not glow like a lighthouse 24/7
This will be the same experience for the average sniper who is taking lots of constant shots from a distance but different for someone who actually plays like an real sniper.
Personally the snipers that bother me the most are those who shoot constantly from their perch
Also I feel that if someone is using a high power scope from really close, they should have even less glow when they are close. Right now the no glint distance is 20m but I think it could go up to 30m.
I agree with this thread.
But I have also learned that any suggestion we make fall on deaf ears.
Community managers don’t even reply most of the time and the devs never address any suggestions or issues we raise.
I’ve lost count how many times I’ve tried to give them the heads up about issues or improvements that could be made.
Literally pointless.
The portal element of this game could be so much better if they just listened - or even played their own game now and again!
Many bugs and glitches remain and they will NOT be addressed, be sure of that.
I’ve now given up trying to help identify bugs and glitches.
Sadly, this is yet another BF game that doesn’t fulfil its potential.
This is also why I no longer buy premium.
Paying for premium means you should get a premium product. And sadly that just isn’t the case.
Don’t get me wrong, I do like this game and I would not switch to another game.
I did a screen share with a friend and he showed me him playing COD.
My god, was COD bad.
seriously, it was terrible and doesn’t stand up to BF.
That said, it is sad that the devs of BF don’t seem interested in polishing the game or listening to us to improve the game.
I can tell you that I have spent months making servers in portal. I have around 15 of them.
I have coded in ALOT of crazy stuff in my servers to make them a hoot to play.
I have a regularly following on my servers.
Just a shame that we aren’t given more tools to make this game shine.
@creepnpeep
They do read these, they just do not always reply and/or do not always decide that something needs changing.
I know at least 2 cases where issue that I reported got (eventually) fixed in spite of few few people knew about them.
I did not got a reply but they did fix the issues I reported.
If you are looking for replies, sadly Twitter is the best place.
In custom servers the option for "ON?OFF" should be there, in regular game mode at the VERY least make it only visible through the opposing riffle scope/sights, UNDER ZOOM CONDITIONS.
Appreciate the suggestion in that it should be a toggle setting within custom experiences, will send the suggestion through.
In All-Out Warfare, however, this is a balancing mechanic to have some detrimental effect on a individual who may be way off in the distance. Certain scope zooms have scope glint, lower zoom does not. Its the pay off for having the ability to be far from immediate danger and this is something that has existed in multiple Battlefield titles.

It is a fair tradeoff for balancing shooting from far away
But what when someone is not shooting for quite a while?
I am avoiding ADSing to scout for enemies because someone might see the glow before I even decide to shoot anyone.
In every depiction of snipers in movies etc show them spending a lot of time looking through that scope and waiting. We cant do that in BF because that gives away ones position prematurely.
I believe the idea of someone not glowing if they had not shot at anything for a long time is not that game breaking.
I am aware that we can just use the SOFLAM as binoculars instead but that definitely introduces a delay in case a good opportunity arises, and it also has its own red glow too..
