Season 3 peak playercount. Will it claim top spot for 2022?
With the weekend coming, a new season, positive hype and game discounts, 2042 looks likely it will supress January's peak player count on steam.

Basically there has been an conjunction of the new season release + Black Friday.
A new season means more people will come to see what is new.
Black Friday means that the game is discounted to a price that is closer to what more people believe it is a fair price to buy the game for. (they got the ultimate edition for less than 60 dollars instead of almost 110)
Thus we have this spike
Biggest influx of players has actually come from players that never bought the game and now try it out for free, as EA have made it available to play for free here for a period of time. You can see that by checking the level of the players in the game, where now most games have a majority of players at levels below e.g. 60. Also reason we see the sudden rise of players that use e.g. key macros/modz as they have no skin in the game, as its a new free soldier account they can use for this.
