Season 7 Feedback
So it's Season 7 launch day. After you have downloaded and played a few games it would be good to gather your thoughts / feedback. 👍
Played a few games on the new map - my thoughts:
1. None of the rounds I played were remotely close. So easy for either side to completely dominate and spawnlock the other. Another map where the uncap is too close to the first flag. Spawncamping the enemy uncap and spawnlocking is rampant.
2. The locations for the fixed AA are a complete joke! Who signed off on those positions - Stevie Wonder!? If a noob NB pilot does happen to stray too close, the AA guns are so ridiculously weak and overheat so fast, that you may as well fire peas at the NB. Buff them and choose better positions where they can at least see more than 5% of the map....
3. Remove the helos, the map is just too small and it's easy for them to find cover and get lost from line of sight etc. Moving from B or D flags makes you a sitting duck. And with no effective AA (see above) they just aren't being taken down.
4. The brightness of the map is way too high, enemies are too difficult to make out from the surroundings.
5. Tanks feel a bit overkill for the size of the map, they don't seem to fit through a lot of the gaps, or can topple over ledges etc.
6. Overall the map will be Ok with a few tweaks, reminds me a lot of Karkand, which was fantastic.
7. The visual recoil isn't as bad as I was expecting, but really question if it was needed in the first place.
8. Bring back Redacted CQ playlist! Or maybe read the thread asking for a server browser.
10. There is no number 9.
Played a few rounds just now. Other than feeling like the AA needs to be moved and needed a little more cover from C to D, I have had fun. More excited for Stadium though.
Visual Recoil - I haven't really noticed it in the scopes I use. Other than a couple times going for headshots with AR's it seems normal to me.
New Weapons - Havent unlocked them but picked them up off the ground, SMG feels insane. AR doesn't feel like an upgrade over the VHX
Random question - Did them working on visual recoil on all the weapons cut into adding more content?
Really please add some more portal weapons to AOW. I really want the AN and Aug.
Map is ok but it looks and feels like a COD Ground war map, which is ironic considering Ground war was COD's copy version of Battlefield
Hate the new recoil
New visual recoil means Cronus-users get an even bigger advantage vs. the rest of us on console (since they have a no-recoil script)

Not wishing to stir any animosity in here as I seem to be the only user (or others are silent on the topic perhaps feeling intimidated to dissent) that actually enjoys and loves the new recoil: it was sorely needed as I could take out snipers ~50–70m away with an LMG.
I’d say, nearly odds-on that the one reason many are disliking the new recoil is that they enjoyed the zapping, laser-beaming from miles out… (which, granted, each to their own preferences.)
Every kill now feels hugely satisfying and rewarding, as effort needs to be put into downing someone. Skill-level has been increased: tap-firing now needs mastering. Simple as.
What a POS the new map is.
Once again you can get shot from pretty much all angles all the time.
I’m not gonna waste another second playing it.
