Season 7 "Maps" - Discussion
What kind of "maps" does everyone want to see in season 7? We are getting two, so I imagine one will at least be infantry only again. In reality we should be getting four maps. But, that's another t...

My guess still is we will see the Hourglass stadium back as a standalone infantry only map as one of the 2 new maps
Mackay really changes the dynamics for all the maps you listed (which are all awesome). Previously you could be in a 2nd story window and not have to worry about an enemy popping up into a window from the ground level. Mackay and Sundance really took away some components of the strategies that make it Battlefield.
In future BFs, I really hope they get away from the movement gadgets/perks.
Argonne Forest was also a decent map.

Yes agreed that current physics of especially Mackay and Sundance would more or less break these maps.
I’m hoping with you that in the next title it’s back to BF roots without specialists and their gadgets and traits.
Argonne Forest is another great example of how to do an infantry only map. A re-imagination of that without that stupid train would definitely get my vote!
Would everyone be ok with a map pack for season 7 of, say....4 maps DLC at a price? I feel like that's the best way to go. This way, it keeps the game going, and devs would get paid for work they actually do, and there maybe more effort put into the design of them.
Instead, it seems like there's a live service for 2 years, and after that, it's over. The peak numbers alone on steam were over 107,000. If just half of those players bought DLC, that's a lot of money. But, instead, everything is all free. I don't blame the devs it's more of management that makes these decisions.
I feel like we would get more maps, more quailty maps, better design and ones we can look back on in a couple years and say let's remake that map or remaster it. I can say for certain I ain't going to be like let's remaster kalediscope in 5 years or discarded.
D
Yes, maybe a map pack and going with it a new faction and some new weapons/vehicles.
Kind of a DLC, like in the good old days.
