If it is really just 2 new maps this can hardly be called 'a bang'. Maybe we get a real map pack with 4 maps like in, well, basically every other BF I remember that had DLC?
Still, even with 4 maps released in the previous titles it would have never been called a 'bang' but was something that just met the expectation. But with BF2042, maybe you can indeed call 4 new maps a 'bang'.

Honestly, that's the way I took it.
If they did another 16-week season, that would be the end of May with no breaks. If they do another redux thing, that could push the end of S7 into July, then start releasing info about BF2043, The Revenge of the No-Pats!
Given the disaster this has been you do have to wonder when the release will be.
Next year people will still remember how consistently bad this has been - poor maps / half baked portal / constant balance issues / unplayable server desync for a large percentage of games for many etc etc oh and cheats. Yet another one just today. 66 hours played and 90% plus headshot 103-3 as inf. Obvious aim bot but no anti cheat in place to deal with it.
I feel 2025 at the soonest for the next BF and hope that peoples nostalgia brings them back.
