I really hope they do not implement SBMM to any battlefield game ever.
CoD is an utter dumpster fire because of SBMM, I'm forced to play from Australia on servers in the US and mainland Asia because of that utterly stupid system with a 200 ping.
I've stopped playing CoD because of that reason alone.
Oh and SBMM is exploitable can be used to farm new players which drives away customers.
@D3AD_M3AT_au Yeah, all the manipulation and alrogrithmic nonsense on CoD has driven a lot of players away, including me. It isn't the same game it was when it first came out. It was really good at the start, but then they starting messing with things, and now it is just too frustrating.
My guess is there'll be a server browser for Portal but skill based matchmaking for DICE official servers in the main game.
I base this on what DICE tried to do in BFV with skill based matchmaking, but pulled the plug on it early because it wasn't working good. It was putting players in empty servers.
A server browser doesn't work with SBMM because it can be used as a way to bypass SBMM and team stack public servers.
I'm worried though because DICE has a horrible track record when it comes to their matchmaking systems.
