- iigloo3 years agoSeasoned Ace@ugdpy I've played a couple of hundred hours more and i have the opposit experience.
I have thousands of hours of experience from 1942 to 2042 as a player, server owner and competetive player so the fact that you talk against us kinda proves my point that many of the "experts" and "knowhow" are feeding DICE with bullcrap that leads to dissaster titles like BF2042.

Short netcode story #4 or is this what I think it is? Did smell of fish afterwards

@Ironhead841Factually wrong yourself every top streamer goes through a vpn even from the same country and use marcros etc. I have had a ping of 252ms and over so what is the ping limit?
So, you don't think high-ping players affect the server detrimentally?
I have no idea how "top streamers" are connecting or what macros they use or anything else and frankly I'm not understanding how that is relevant to the topic.
As to your question of ping limits, we generally had ours set to a max ping of 150ms and it seemed to work out quite well for our servers.
- Kona_uk3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Ironhead841 So you replied to something you do not know?
Great your servers have a 150ms ping must be the best server ever!! Uhm, you tagged me and said I was "Factually wrong" which I interpreted as a response to my post about high-ping players affecting servers (I can't seem to find any reference to "top-streamers in that post, weird huh?) so, I responded accordingly.
And another correction for you, nobody has private servers anymore, period. EA/Dice in their infinite wisdom have removed that feature from all of us.
Those weren't my servers, per se, I donated (happily, btw) to the rental of said servers and helped administrate them.
I was part of several clans that had many privately run servers with ping-limitations and actually our servers were quite popular and had no problem fully populating and maintaining a sub 150ms player base.

That's definitely the invisible player bug. He just appears out of nowhere like being teleported in Star Trek. You can clearly see the teleportation if the video is played back at 25% speed.
- doubleome3 years agoSeasoned Ace@OskooI_007 Actually have another one of these somewhere, that was 20+ meter teleport when I could actually see the frozen player first and just shoots across the screen behind me.
- I also have a lot of videos like this.
Personally I think it's a synchronization Server Netcode problem, the player was probably actually standing in that Position earlier in his game and saw/shoot you, the server just didn't send his location to your game and you got killed instatly becouse you could't see him at that moment.... The result the server transmitted only your death. - doubleome3 years agoSeasoned Ace
wth is with this week, just did 2 games tonight, consider this just unplayable at this point, this was just the tip of the ice berg
I know this isn't all netcode related but it's a meme at this point I guess. Dice working really hard to rebrand "Only in Battlefield moments"
