@ElliotLHThat's fair, but on the other hand, Redacted is the only CQC map we have without vehicles. It's a pretty small map too. Shotguns are a little too potent compared to everything else when talking about the tight areas of the map.
An SMG should out range the 880 and only lose to a shotgun up close in theory. In practice, the 880 has just as much usable range as any SMG because of the map design.
The 12m is a complete bot gun in my opinion as well. Turn brain off, jump around a corner, spam fire, get kills. I've done it from time to time and it's fun, but a little much for the map in my opinion.

I feel like stuff like shotguns should be treated as a novelty if you’re going to have them in a game. Meaning, it can be something fun to mess around with, but definitely not the most effective tool for the job. If money was on the line, it wouldn’t be something you’d pick. That’s just my view on it though.- ElliotLH2 years agoHero+@RaginSam Yep they sure are. I remember lots of back and forth discussions about the 10A Hunter in Shotgun Forest on the old BF1 boards, and I'm sure it goes for other games too.
I'd probably be quite happy still if they were treated more as a novelty as that's kind of how I use them myself already - I'd rather use an AR for flexibility anyway.- GrizzGolf2 years agoSeasoned Ace
Feel like you can put a sniper scope on them and pick people off. Those things have some 1 shot range to them

So the 12m is only really good on this one map and you think it should be nerfed because of it, that's silly, its like 12m players complaining that AR's are better on every other map and asking to nerf everything to suit them.
Let the 12m have its one map and learn to counter it.

- ElliotLH2 years agoHero+@DaveTheBrave_USA That would be an option too for sure. I'm not a fan of weapon restrictions and limits on vanilla maps personally, but I could live with it like I do with vehicles now.

That would be so horribly annoying to try to spawn and see "sorry too many (x weapon) pick something else". Just like there were the mods on the BF4 servers with only X number of recon/snipers allowed and such. Then you just get chat filled with "can someone please switch from x-weapon?! I'm really good with it!!! or I need to use it for my challenges!!!11"
