@Trokey66 This reminds me of back in BF3 when only PC had a server browser. The Console part of the Community demanded DICE patch in a server browser to the console version which they did. Honestly DICE has been trying to kill the server browsers since BF1 in favor of quick match so IMO it's not at all surprising that they'd only add it to Portal. This will drive even more players to Portal so they can search out a server they want to play on instead of being at the whims of the quick match gods.
@ragnarok013For 'custom servers' I agree a browser is essential but for official servers, as long as matchmaking works and it is easy to join on friends, it is largely redundant.
Plus, It is not fact that there is no browser, possible but not fact.
@Trokey66I agree, matchmaking could work. But I believe according to my experience that any game that implements matchmaking needs to implement a Server Region Selector or a Ping Limiter like CS GO does.

@Trokey66 I'm skeptical of the ease of joining on friends due to DICE's past lack of ease in previous title. I hope that joining on friends has been addressed but I'm in the wait and see mode instead of optimistic.

So I was 50% there.....
There is no server browser which wouldn't be a massive problem if matchmaking, but more importantly, joining on more than 3 friends was possible.
Oh well.....
