Smoke grenades: OK, what did you change?

Question

Every smoke grenade now blacks out the room\ corridor, I mean totally blacks it out. Of course this only affects us players who don't have that magic ability to see through it, it's not affecting those 'other' players.

@BFPlayer10 or the favorite move of LMGers:

"Spray n Pray" - Hold down that fire button. You get the visual indication that you are hitting someone. I think this is the more likely reason people think that others can "see through smoke"

@CPU_UK are you certain you're not also being hit by a concussion grenade? Granted, I haven't played for weeks so I haven't witnessed either way, but figure it could be a combo or something.

Nope, smoke goes down and even the lights are gone (Redacted enclosed space), it's almost inky black.
