Smoke makes no sense in this game
Can someone explain how I get beamed through smoke so frequently? I just played a game where I was beamed through a huge smoke cloud almost a dozen times. I get here and there but definitely not a do...

@ZRuff46 1. you are constantly ,and i do mean that in a literal sense, spotted on the minimap in 2042 so someone might have just played off the UI and got you that way
2. aimassist no matter what others claim works in this game and tracks and snaps trough smoke
3. netcode is atrocius and would be considered outdated even if we go back to 2012 standards....
4. mabye the smoke doesn't render correctly anymore, or a config makes it not as thick anymore...
5. this game is aweful you can only rely on one thing and that is constant and ever increaing frustration

@X-Sunslayer-X in the specific example i gave, theres no way that he was able to do that based off the minimap. Its not possible. Really the only way you could use the minimap to kill someone through smoke is if they were standing still which everytime this happen, I wasn't. Pc players don't have aim assist, plus the aim assist is awful in this game so I don't see it being that. I mean there has to be something wrong with how the smoke renders on the other team because there is literally nothing else to justify that happening. I agree that I find myself being more and more frustrated by this game the longer I play it. Honestly, it's the gunplay and the severe latency issues. It's soooo bad in this game. I'm to the point I can only play this game for maybe 2 matches on a good day before I'm so sick of all the bs and all the confusing deaths that should not have happened.
- @ZRuff46I constantly fire blindly into smoke at places I assume players will be. I’m surprised how many people just assume they’re safe, they don’t crouch or try to hide. I also do a burst or two randomly and see if I see a hit marker. Again shocking how often that works. Concealment is not cover.
Some are people firing on estimate position based on last known. Some are firing based on bullet tracer/muzzle flash. Some are from 3d spots. Some are from position ping marker. Some are lucky guess. Some are cheats.
- @DigitalHype The cheats seem pretty low though, not really enough to count for the OP I bet. Not in the western North America region anyways.
@ATFGunrI mean I've killed people through smoke too. But I feel like there's too many questionable things that happen. That specific example, he had to have tracked me through the smoke since I was running from his right to his left. He shot 3 shots and all 3 hit me. Had similar things happen to me quite often
