Sniper Nerf?
Was there a sniper nerf that I missed. Today, I am shooting people point blank with the DXR-1 (power of 95) in the chest and they proceed to punch me to death. Also, at range, I am hitting people 3 c...

Snipers are a class on their own, with their own challenges, no need to ban them or nerf them but a challenging balance would indeed be great because they are not regular rifles and should have their own gameplay.
Bullet drop is a challenge that snipers enjoy. Guessing the distance of an enemy, compensating for it and seing after 2-3 seconds of travel time a head blow right on the edge a wall cover is fun. Same apply when you see someone running in straight line, forcing you to guess travel time AND drop. Getting a headshot on a moving target is a great feeling from far distance. Going in a sniper vs sniper last man standing is fun, because it becomes a true skill fight. One will guess better, the other will learn how to dodge the hard way.
Where the class needs to be nerfed is on reload speed, scope zoom speed, hip shots and why not some wind effect when the tornados come. Make it hard to land a shot so no one uses snipers as shotgun. Seing a sniper taking a point while shooting at target 20 meters ahead feels wrong, there's already Medics. Assault and Engineer for that (if we consider the old classes).
Keep the power of the sniper high so they can hurt real bad (infantry and vehicles) but make it hard to hit. That's where snipers get their adrenaline from. If I was 100% certain of landing every shot I take, that wouldn't be fun. So a good balance to me is to make my life difficult, each shot critical but damage rewarding.
