Maybe Sniper ammo should be limited and only resuppliable at ammo stations
To be honest if you are losing a game where the team opposite has too many snipers then you really dont belong on Battlefield, snipers do not really hold much weight in an objective based game mode, and i for one have never lost a game and said at the end, Damn those snipers.
the only people that would say that, in my opinion, are the lone wolf K/D ho's that REALLY ruin the game.

I don't think K/D should track unless your team wins the match.
Except for assignments and weapon/attachments unlocks.
- 5 years agoCan't revive the dead in the real world. If the whole TM is snipers there must be a demand. If is so easy, just snipe them back. On a open map assume someone has you in their sight. If you carry a machine gun then your only looking at what you can see with out a scope. Carry a big scope and now your scanning a much larger area and would see the sniper. Limit the ammo and I'll just kill myself. A sniper is useful for when the TM is taking flags, because he's the look out man. Players didn't seem to mine when I spotted for them. In fact they ate the enemy up like candy. I'm sure air was happy being able to see targets marked for them or people with stingers. Make snipers sound selfish, when my greatest weapon was actual spotting for the team, pointing them to the threats. There was a unspoken communication between me and the TM. I'd spot everything and keep tanks lit up, but focus on the important threats that would help win the games. And other players got that message and would act quickly. It's actually a beautiful thing to see the team respond and amazingly how quit they have taken out threats for me when tanks and heli's had me pin down, but go BOOM in 2 sec flat. Get to me, got to go thru the team first. I take no credit and give it all to the team. It's like tanks won't move forward, but if they know someone is looking out and spotting for them then they move forward and they show their appreciation by trying to protect me as well. For me it's more like being a commander and just not spotting near, but fare as well. That's not selfish, but helping the whole TM. I'm more a threat using sofa spotting for the team, then if I just run/gun, because I'm pretty much TM strong. I spot and let the run/gunners do what they do, should let snipers do what they do and give them more tools if anything. BF3 had dmr for recon for up close and beacons are fun. I sure can do a lot more and have a lot more fun being recon, then just running with my head cut off like a chicken.

Only you and I really care about winning the match, everyone else cares about their KD ratio. I introduced my nephew to BF4 and he died often. He took up sniper because it was easy and liked it. "I finally get some kills" he cared nothing about the objective. As far as snipers ruined a match. That's the only reason why I took the time to make this post.

Thats the purpose of war...make the other person die for their country...all Ks no Ds.

Thats the purpse of war... all Ks no Ds. Without those no victory. How you go about achieving that is always debateable, thats why the term rules of engagement is always aplicable. There have been many ocassions I have quit to watch a movie because of snipers. They create what I call false starts, like ground hog day the movie.
