Snipers are ok, but when there are too many people choosing recon for the snipers, the game is unplayable. In the face combat is where the adrenaline rush comes from, not sitting back eating cheetoes waiting for someone to stop moving long enough to get a head shot off. It's unfair to that player that grinded for that peace of real-estate, just for Mr cheetoes to get his opportunity.
Real snipers often spend days to get into position to take a shot and most times it's just 1 shot. Lose your cover or position you are dead. Most scenarios you only have 1 sniper to worry about, 2 at the most. Take them out and there is more freedom of movement.
Problem is, in fps, there can be teams of them around. Kill them and they just respawn hindering what makes fps fun...reflex, timing and strategizing.
Because of fans of snipers in movies, I loved them too, games feel the need to let them prevail but in real war situations, they are outliers. In real war to defend yourself would you want the sniper rifle or the AR, you would be stupid to choose a sniper rifle, or a crossbow which some military sims are very proud of.
Please finally do something different than everyone other game. Let us have a taste of real war, who will be able to do it better than Dice. Please take a chance, I promise BF 2042 will go down in history.

@DDouble_Tap02 you have posted 3 posts about the exact same thing, and all 3 have left with teh same outcome, very few people agree with your dislike of the number of snipers, for 2 reasons fundamentally. 1. they are the snipers you are complaining about. 2.they have been dealing with snipers for many years and have adapted to nerf them via their own gameplay style.

Because it's boring as hell. It is unrealistic for a big * sniper rifle to be fired standing up and in CQ use. What real solider would want to run around with the gear a real sniper carries. People want realism, snipers in most fps are handled like they are made of plastic or like a bb gun.

It can't be that boring if there's too many people doing it. : / Realistic in a video game, but, reviving the dead is okay thought? Too me the problem is you don't know how to have fun. In BFV I notice players sitting back and that's the case with most BF, if not all. Tanks and AA do it too. But, I'm not going to get upset about it. If anything I'll try to lead by example and move up and spot for players. The better you are as a player the less it may seem like the TM is doing and being mad at the team for not doing what you think needs to be done is not a happy place to be.

If everyone was a sniper then there would be no bodies on the objectives, and this is the number one reason why I can't stand seeing a lot of recon/sniper players on my team.
