People camping as attackers on BT. Sitting in the spawn with tanks, Wildcats and sniper rifles the entire round (we never get passed the first sector).
If you have 10 players actually playing the game right, you would be unstoppable, because that is all you need to cap or defend any point, because there will never be 10 opponents capping or defending a point.
I really feel like BF2042 is catering to younger players and newer players. It is more about gimmicks and gadgets and less about strategy. Respawns are so fast that it doesn't matter if you die, you can be back in a few seconds.
That is also why they leave weapons, vehicles, and aircraft OP for so long. The Bolte was insane for a long time. K30 or BSV anyone? The Hind, and now the Stealth helos? Those all cater to bad players so they feel better about themselves because it is so easy to get kills with them.
- ATFGunr3 years agoLegend@Adamonic I think it’s called desperation. Having said that PTFO is a thing for a reason, and that reason being the majority of players are lone wolfs, playing with themselves. Gaming has been moving in that direction for a while, with BR and hero shooters being the norm rather than the exception. I can see a day where it’s not profitable to make COD or BF as we know it. Clans are dead or dying, online communities have moved on. It’s pretty sad really.

It’s pretty sad really. The only reason clans are dying is because the game doesn’t support them - no clan tags and the inability to play with more than 3 friends.
As to limiting snipers, snipers are merely nuisance and generally don’t do much to help their team win, so the more of them on the enemy team is good for my team.

Why do you think the first iteration of BF2042 was based around a BR concept.- 3 years ago

Why do you think the first iteration of BF2042 was based around a BR concept. This is the sign of the times. For every vet that goes away, there’s two twelve year olds with moms credit card, waiting to take their place. Personally, BR can suck it. I’m not good at this game so why would I want to spawn into a BR game and get shot by a kid old enough to be my grandson in the first 60 seconds.
plus, the searching/hoarding weapons thing blows.

This game? Every part of your statement that I have highlighted could have been applied to BFBC2, BF3, BF4 and BF1. I did not play BFV enough to notice. The argument could even be made that we got this game because team play experience was already so poor in previous titles.

Snipers are the least deadly thing in this game after the Dozer shield.
Just think about how many things you need to do wrong for the sniper to get a clear shot at you.
