@TankerFlankerI dont think there's a runway, I prefer it popping into field on some maps since that stops the vehicles from taking fire before anyone gets in them. However when its miles out on an Aircraft Carrier or anything like that where enemy air cant really reach thats fine by me.
I distinctly remember them also mentioning the vehicle calls in had air vehicles as an option, where you call it in and can go back to the spawn screen and take off with it, though that could be a fever dream on my part and I'm spreading misinformation.
Edit: Double checked, you cant call in air vehicles. At least "theloudout.com" says so.
