Sorry but I had enough with this in Warzone as an Xbox user we can't turn it off at all, This game is going to be plagued with them and console users will be forced to put up with it, as PS5 per Sony's terms in crossplay will get full option to turn it off while Xbox users will get the option but not useable same as in Apex atm.

Crossplay for consoles is great! both have the same system specs give or take, Bringing in PC with not only cheaters but can change settings, have higher FoV, higher FPS and the best control scheme in Mouse and KB its not fair.

Hey Everyone,

It seems this thread has gotten a bit off track, I know we are all excited for BF 2042 to release, and with the new generation of consoles out, there are a lot more possibilities than what has previously been available.

While we wait for the release and get new information we need to remember to be kind to one another both in-game and here on Answers HQ. Remember we always have our Forum rules and guidelines available here.

If EA are not absolutely sharp and on top of this one from the get go of BF2042, then I think they will be in for a brutal awakening. The vast majority of the total player base are totally fed up with the cheaters. They have to go. Or we stop any further engagement with such a rotten environment where there is zero fun left.
Ergo, there is zero future for EA to monetize the gameplay as a service if they do not manage to consistently keep the cheaters out. 2-3 months from now, we will already by then be able to see if they are serious or not...

@1Hairy-Gorilla There is already full “on” or “off” crossplay options… console-only crossplay is still in the works as I understand it.

@carsono311the console crossplay only needs to be available day 1. I will not play with PC. Sorry PC master race but you need to get a grip on cheaters.

@carsono311 You keep saying this but its wrong. Dice dev on resetera said PC crossplay or OFF that's it. What we want is bye bye PC and console crossplay and off being the options.
Or If you have PC friends you get invited to their servers to suffer.
Just to say it again and to be sure they aren't going to make 3 options here.

You people need to look up what's going to be offered on the current gen consoles, all of the exact same cheat engines that are made for PC are coming to them very soon and they're also going to be completely undetectable. Platform isn't going to matter at all moving forward so stop spreading false information.

@CyberDyme Allowing Clans to rent and operate servers is the best way to curb stomp cheaters. There have always been great servers when renting is in place. Allowing and utilizing the community to police their own servers is a the best way to give the players the tools to combat it especially if they have no answer for the cheats that will be available.

@Nation87 ... more misinfomation and got the nerve to call others out for it. NO ONE can access ram or CPU on last gen or current gen (ps5/series X/S) You can't run code on these devices like a PC.. its not happening.
Last consoles to be able to run PC like hacks where PS3 and Xbox 360 its not going to happen again.

It's 100% already on the way and you don't use those parts of a console to inject an engine. It's already been done on the last gen consoles also, actually quite easily.
But hey, at least with private servers on PC there will be Admins that can at least kick the blatant offenders.

@Nation87 Guess what, If consoles would become like PC with cheats, I would just not play multiplayer games anymore. If these companies do not want to protect their franchises then that should tell you how much they care about them and you. I would move on and many will do the same.

I'm not personally attacking anyone here, just saying the whole "no cheating on consoles" defense is dead and has been for some time. There's literally already AI in development for these engines that plays the game for you on EVERY PLATFORM. It DOES NOT matter what you play on, the cheating is going to be there. Just play on what you like and try to power through it just like everyone else does.
