So it's confirmed that it's up to 64 bots in a match

And there is no way to turn it off for the time being, they're just to help keep matches populated. Here's the article below.

"There are currently no plans to let players turn this feature off, it reportedly said, but humans will always take priority. So at peak times, players may not ever encounter AI-controlled opponents."

https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/battlefield-2042-will-add-up-to-64-ai-bots-to-help-fill-its-matches-ea-confirms/

Edit: Some people seem to think I don't want bots or I want to turn them off, I'm just pointing out what the article says that there is no option to turn them off. I personally wouldn't want bots removed the more chaos going on the better imo, I think it's good that they'll fill up a server until actual players fill it.

@TickTack121not sure what games you're playing, the harder settings just mean you have to play smarter. As for pre aiming, should players that prefire rounding a corner be chastised? Not even sure what "pre-aiming" means, if they are pre aiming at one target, that means they must have their head exposed for a team mate to pre aim on, Deal with it all the time, try call outs via microphone. Again, we know nothing, and pontificating about an unknown variable is pointless.

I dont know what you understand with difficullty, but i dont want Bots to have wallhack and aimbot like in bfv, i just want them to be smart. Never ever seen that in a Game.

  • @carsono311 They have to entice new players to make even more $$ . The problem is If they keep moving away too much from the original BF games (and yes we haven't seen this one yet) then it will alienate and turn away players who liked that game style, and yet may not attract enough new players away from COD or battle royale games and the series will be in big trouble.

@ninjapenquinuk Yes, I agree it needs to lean heavily on tried and true gameplay from the previous series, but I do not blame EA DICE for trying new things and pursuing potentially interesting opportunities where they can.

Why would you want there not to be some  bots to fill up the server so you can play properly even if people ragequit?

If the bots are good enough they may also push more for objectives that the average bad team that falls back to K/D farm if the going gets tough

Because you already got the problem. If they are so good, that they are better than the average low-score player in Battlfield, then they will leave the game.

After like 8 rounds in BFV in a team full of  "average low-score players" vs teams with clan squads, I would rather those zombie players to quit and find a game that suits them more.

I know it sounds harsh but I just have fun being stuck with people who just get farmed and either claim the vehicle slots or spend time calling their betters hackers.

Earlier I was in a staghound in Rotterdam and I saw gunfire flash around a corner so I shot a shell at that corner and because I killed the one just around the corner with a blast I was called hacker for the entire round. I could live without such players

Pretty sure seeing 64 bots in a match will be extremely rare, even in Europe, and, while uncommon, should prove to be a welcomed sight in the SA and ME communities
