Saw the new "tool-tip" for the suppressors in the collection screen....apparently they only provide minimap-stealth from 40m+ now?! DICE are we playing the same game anymore?´between all the things that spot you in this game now you make it literally impossible to attack an objective without beign constantly on the UI? at this point just mark everyone everytime on the minimap ! at least then we can all just play off the minimap 100% of the time....

@X-Sunslayer-X Lol Dice can 100% pick and choose what to treat with realism or not. I’ve never trusted the suppressors in 2042 and do think I’m basically spotted at all times. With the poor visibility in the game (that’s why we all get rave lights on our vests), I think they’ve compensated for it though choices like this.

Should remove audio spotting altogether to be honest. Sound suppressors don't need it to do its job of firing quieter.

@X-Sunslayer-Xjust a tip if you pair suppressor with sub sonic ammo, your weapon will never cause you to appear on the mini map. I use the BSV-M with subsonic high power and short barrel.The enemy could be eating lunch at a dinner table with me under it and with this load out would never know Im there. Places like the ship on stranded, the tunnel on exposure, and the cube we play in on C (spearhead) are great fun with this set up.I see your frustrations and understand why but I also see why dice did it this way for realistic reasons. Realistically a weapon isn't truly silent until you pair it with a good suppressor and subsonic ammunition. This was used in WW2 with suppressed sten guns and suppressed grease guns.

I think the heavy suppressors on weapons like the mp9, k30, and ac42 may do it then. (I have seen people not appear when using ac42 with pb heavy suppressor or type 4 heavy suppressor when I was playing on manifest a few times. It may have been they were just out of that 40 meters though. I agree dice shouldn't pick and choose on these things. I miss the bf3 suppressors you were completely invisible on mini map back then.

I've frequently noticed I've clearly appeared on minimap when using a suppressed weapon (mostly the RM68), due to how players are constantly finding me even when they're not close (of course, they could be using 'other' methods). However, I've literally heard unsuppressed gunfire from vey close, almost around a corner, and no blip on the radar. Enemies also disappear from radar insanely quick, and it frequently gives a false distance position.

@SCUBASTEVE120 if i want to play a realistic shooter i'll go back to ARMA...
DICE can't pick and choose realism at leisure. Your set tup also does not stop you from apprearing on the minimap btw but only remove hit indicators from whoever you shot at.
I can see why DICE wants to have everyone on the minimap all the time, so everyone can get a free kill once in a while by playing " hunt down the red dot"...

@Padding_Ur_Stats Yeah give people rockets/cannons and red dots to shoot.

Should be able to run the minimap as 'full screen'...
