So who are these 'veterans' that get invites to the playtest?

I've been reading about 'veterans' that got invited to testing BF2042, and I'm really wondering who's getting in and how is determined that they're a veteran. I really get the feeling that nowadays ...

@kindOFsob Not really slavery if you enjoyed the series, left bf after BFH, gave one a go and V was a disaster.
