@1Hairy-Gorilla I have played with and without KnM from CS to fortnight, battlefield and CoD. Doom and Quake. I play apex with controller and my friend on PC. It really makes no difference. At least not enough to make the experience "bad". I frequently have this debate with some friends and you can take someone who doesnt use KnM and put them on it and it wont give them any advantage if they arent "good" with keyboard and mouse. I can destroy a lot of PC gamers but the "pro pc gamers" are way more of a pain. It all just depends. At the end of the day we are just trying to play with what we are "comfortable" with or "capable" of using.
@KAIO-KINCAID in general KB/M is the best for FPS there is no way to argue differently, the fact sticks need aim assist to function at all says it all. Just going on my own xp I'm far better with KB/M with recoil and accuracy than with sticks. After 7 years of practice with sticks only I'm nowhere near what I can still do with KB/M. recoil is so much more manageable using your whole hand vs thumb that also controls where your pointing :P

1Hairy-Gorilla yes, if you're more comfortable with a keyboard and mouse it is better. Take fighters for example. Some people would say stick is better than controller. but unless you are comfortable with an arcade stick... Youre gonna suck. But on a side note. All im saying is KnM should be an option as a controller. I cant afford another PC and many of us cant. I have problems with my hands and get forced to play with controllers most of the time. This already puts me at a disadvantage. but i still play. But you have people complain about KnM as if its a tool of destruction when its honestly just another way to play.

@KAIO-KINCAID Its also the point of PC out side of you know what, having more advantages FoV/ high FPS changing settings. Like BF 3 playing high/max was a disadvantage vs playing low as on low tunnels where unlit lol
On console we are forced into what ever the devs deem their vision. I got no problem with PC players wanting to play console or the other way but not forced on default, an Opt in system like Apex/Fortnite is the way imo.

There’s some reasonable points on both sides but for me now that I know more about it I’ll likely turn it off even if I’m reducing the console player pool (no PS5)
1 less likely to run into a M+K player (as someone already mentioned filtering by controller or M+K would be preferable)
2 less likely to run into a “cheater” surely the walled garden of consoles makes it more difficult to run submits etc?
3 a point I hadn’t considered is that PC tends to give you more graphics options which may lead to an advantage.
Basically I’d just like as even a playing field as possible so that when I lose I know it’s to the better player.
All I need are 127 other series X players otherwise I’ll be forced to turn cross play on
