Soldier mouse aim sensitivity?

I am finding I need to set my Soldier mouse aim sensitivity to around 45 to make mouse movement feel "normal" to me. Basically, flick my wrist while pressing the A/D key, do about a 180 is my usual "test" for fps games.

But all the guides have it set way lower like under 20. I find this low setting super hard to move around like this. I have to move my arm/hand a ton just to turn around. My mouse dpi is always at 800. Does this seem "normal"?

Maybe I'm just out of touch with how people play games these days but I don't want to have to move my whole arm/hand so much to turn around.

Thanks for any help/input!

  • Set it the way you like it...

My tip is, look for a poster on any map. And then trace the lines/letters cleanly with the mouse. If you can't follow the lines/letters your mouse is too fast.

I don't know currently where to find a suitable poster in 2042, in the past the poster for the stops in the map Metro was very good for the test.

If the mouse is too fast it jumps on the monitor. Then you can only aim at every 4-10 pixels, but not at the opponent standing exactly between these pixels.

Usually you end up somewhere around 400dpi in the mouse and 10-30 in the game settings of BF. Yes it's slow, yes you have to move the mouse a lot, but your aim is getting much better.

You can set very fast mouse movements in shooters whose maps are as big as construction site toilets.

I also used to have very fast settings with at least 360° from the wrist, but in BF you hit nothing with it. I realize that it is a huge change.

But in the end set what you like...

  • Load up solo play, find something with marks/lines on it. Go to mid-range. First, see if you can smoothly trace the shapes/lines of the object when you move your mouse cursor over it. Then, see if you can move your cursor to various points of varying distances somewhat quickly and accurately. Finally, imagine someone running across the screen at mid-distance and see if you can smoothly track your cursor across the screen. Adjust your sensitivity as needed until it feels good for you. The AI are terrible as well so they are good target practice.
