The other ARs are just as accurate as the AC42 - you can do a simple comparison on sym.gg (https://sym.gg/?game=bf2042&page=comparison): select the different ARs for comparison, select the filter option "Only include rows with different values" and look at the ADS spread values.
Recoil is obviously relatively low on the AC42 because it fires in slow bursts; if you also fire bursts at the slow rate of 480 rpm on the other ARs, you should experience a similar level of recoil. On single fire mode, all the ARs have the same RoF, comparable recoil and yet it takes more bullets to kill at a distance > 149 m with the AC42! Furthermore, the recoil is controllable on the other automatic ARs but it is awkward to control on the AC42 because of the delay between bursts. Also, the AC42 is certainly not a "laser pointer" - the bullet spread is apparent at longer ranges
I'm not making the argument that the ac42 is a bad rifle here, instead i'm making a comparative claim - it is unjustifiably worse in many aspects compared to the other ARs and there's pretty good data supporting this
