Thing needs to take more damage from everything.
You had some interesting changes until I saw this.
In my total time flying the Pondhawk, I took more damage from landing it than from enemies, purely because the pondhawk is not a threat. Therefore there's no reason to nerf it.
The Pondhawk can already explode from crashing, such a inconsequential change would make it likely to explode just from landing.
I think vehicle balance is currently as good as its gonna get in 2042, the only exception being the TOR tank which is still too strong against aircraft. Some of the changes you suggested would introduce old balance problems that took DICE 2 years to fix. For example, you suggested the AA Tank have its damage buffed against infantry, in the past people used the tank solely against infantry and not against aircraft leading into the problem of enemy aircraft dominating, this way AA Tanks are forced to perform their correct role. If one desires to use a vehicle against infantry there are much better options, that are better balanced too.
The only changes I think DICE should make for 2042, is to buff the SOFLAM range and to nerf the TOR tank against aircraft.
@S3SSioN_SoLThe pondhawk is a pretty clear threat to vehicles as you can use lockons from on top of it - something that was also the case for air vehicles in BF4, and then DICE realized that's overpowered and made it so you can't use lockons in transport choppers. Unlike BF4's 35 damage javelin (or the MBT law that would be closer in effect to lizzles, or others), the 2042 javelin deals 45 damage from the front and top, and *55* from the rear. You can freely use the javelin from inside it. Shooting at pondhawks with the wildcat is generally pointless as they have way too much health (which this will fix) and are way too small, they also used to take 2 rockets to kill (if the rockets didn't decide to spin around or do the mysterious 10 damage), nevermind getting smoked away, but at least that has been fixed since then. Or also being too close to the vehicle for it to aim up. Actually killing a pondhawk with the wildcat's main gun is too difficult for what should be an AA vehicle.
In line with the pondhawk, people can just parachute from some air vehicle and they take very little (10) damage from the 30mm which has massive spread. Even at ~30m in the middle of the road with no cover I can dance as I reload my RPG and the enemy wildcat struggles to kill me. Nevermind 300m. The 35mm can already fight infantry pretty well and even countersnipe them with its very low spread, if you think a moderate 30mm infantry damage buff will suddenly turn it into an IFV then you haven't used the 35mm.
Nevermind that no, they are not harmless even if I'm infantry. People use them to contest my teammates', or my vantage point. I don't want to get sniped or to have my objectives backcapped. Why shouldn't I be able to deal more significant damage?
Aircrafts exploding from gentle touches of the terrain is a separate issue.
