Sound Design + G-84 TGM (TV Missile)

The recent update that brought the G-84 TGM (TV Missile) to Lis was something I was initially concerned about, but you absolutely nailed it.  It's not just that based on initial impressions it feels balanced, it's the sound design of the missile itself, it's incredibly good.  I found myself reliably dodging missiles just based on the change in volume and pitch of the missile as it approaches.

What baffles me, is how the rest of the game's sound isn't as consistent as this is.  Sometimes there are just players that are completely silent until they are already shooting you.  I've had this occur in all manner of occasions where some are explainable:

1.  It could have been a Sundance.  Despite the new sound addition, sometimes Sundance is still mostly silent when landing or flying over, but I have heard the new noise, so I know it exists.

2.  It could have been a new spawn.  Players spawning behind you has always been an issue in the series and I really think it should take a heavy handed approach of just denying spawns and telling the player to retry when a spawn location isn't available.  Since I'm guessing this isn't possible, previous games used to have the recently spawned in players make a noise, I seem to recall one option being a parachute closing noise.  Some type of noise needs to be made because spawns seem to occur out in the open and there is just nothing players can do to determine someone randomly spawned behind them.  It shouldn't happen in the first place, but right now it feels very bad to play against.

3.  Other networking related issues?  Previously there has been, and may still be various bugs related to footsteps disappearing almost altogether, invisible players or just other strange things where for some reason, a player just comes out of nowhere, but it doesn't appear to have anything to do with any normal game methods as mentioned above, including a spawn beacon.  This is harder to identify, but if correct, I believe it is still occurring.

The player spawning and footsteps aren't the only issues, but I suspect they are all related, where in a perfect server environment, all of the sound works properly, but unfortunately that just isn't the case.  If this is true, I think this could lead to misleading feedback, as the sound design may actually be as a whole very good, but the networking issues cause it to appear inadequate.  I hope that these issues can be addressed, so all of the sound design can be as good as the TV missile.
