+1 to adding a robust server browser. Even better if it's a unified browser for AOW/Portal games.
In the meantime, you could use a VPN to hop regions. I also have to use a VPN for 2042 because despite my usual matchmaking region being SEAs, this specific game for some reason puts me on MENA servers, which are as dead as South African servers. Thankfully, VPN works fine.

I have actually thought of doing that, just to play it, but my main issue with using a VPN is that I also stream to Twitch on the regular, and I am not sure if my pc/internet connection can handle the game, the streaming, and all of that with VPN. I am planning to test though.
