You want to be able to get to the action quick and not be in danger ?
Theses are conflicting wishes, you can't have both.
If you are spawning on a contested flag, you are gonna be spawning on a contested flag, there will be enemies around.
Spawn positions on flags are weighted against enemies positions, this can even be used by enemies to determine enemies positions. If you spawn north of an objective you can assume that the enemies are mostly south of your position.
If you want to be safe, there are options, spawn elsewhere.
@ugdpy WoW. Thank you. The thought of spawning on another point never even occurred to me.
Now go read my initial post again, maybe even read it several times until it sinks in.
This was not a big issue with the other games before this, do some research, there have been lots of posts regarding this, but sometimes when it feels like every single round in certain games you simply have to vent on here.
And with previous titles we at least had a few seconds spawn protection where we could quickly dive behind some rocks ( Or a shipping container in 2042 ! ! ) or something to at least give you a fighting chance.
Oh, and I am not talking about spawning on a hotly contested flag either, I'm having the same issue even when selecting a flag where the action is apparently happening on another flag that's being contested, so I pick one that does not show any icons around it.
I have selected to spawn on an adjacent point which my team controlled but ended up spawning just outside the contested point a died immediately! Spawn mechanics are crap!
When there are enemies contesting a location, you are automatically spawned some distance away..... so that you don't insta-die.
The distance is normally a quick run of 10 to 20 seconds. While it might seem annoying, a short run (or ride in a vehicle) is better than being spawned into the middle of a gun fight.
As for vehicle spawning... they said they are going to add some way of telling if a vehicle is low health, which should help the spawn-in-vehicle-and-die.
I very rarely get insta killed when spawning. Spawn... start running. Don't spawn and stand.
