@Stew360It was never about weapons benifiting the class they were assigned to , it was about forcing cohesive gameplay, something thats lacking in 2042, flag caps in this game are laughable, motion sensers being lobbed around like confetti but no ammo or meds, al lyou have currently is 128 players trying the same meta and tbh its dull and counter productive.
That in itself isnt even my problem, its the completely broken weapon system that renders AR`s and snipers useless, i mean, how did NOBODY at dice realise such a basic fault?
*EDIT* ive had some cracking games on BC rush in portal, what does it tell you when this games legacy is its strongest asset?

I have experience in ALL games on consoles and PC from BF franchise , and i can tell the classes have always changed at randoms and none of those design decision have ever helped with cohesion and teamwork , they were handicaps on many maps or were the go to on others , and peoples most peoples changed classes base on maps ... There was always Way to much medics , or way to much engineers or way to much X and Y because peoples didnt played the classes for what they were but for what weapons they had access to . The onlyones playing as teammates were scarse and rare or were part of your own squads and friends on teamspeak ventrillo or discord or in your console friendlist lolThe specialist and Free class system is WAY better than baseless arbitrary decisions that never served gameplay well

- 4 years ago@Man_iLoveFishing have you ever had a random repairing your tanks in other battlefield that were not in your squads ? Because i sure never had , but i did had some freaking randoms getting in my tanks while me and my buddy were reparing to make our tanks blow up 2 seconds laters because he stole it from us ... he enter my gunner spot and reuse to leave and my engi team mates cant get in anymore that happen 10000 times .. Being repair by randoms ? Yep never maybe once across 4 BF release

I see that you are new in bff. People in previous bf games care about team play all the time, here they dont becsaue there is a lot of players what never play in battlefield game its theirs first time just like yours. I saw your channel youre planetside/cod player and for you spacialist system is better becsaue its something similar from those games.

My lord .... saying i am new to BF is like saying to a 100years old man that he is in his prime still ...
I play BF since bf1942 vietnam bf2 consoles exclusive bf2MC etc.. so keep these assumption out of here ...
The new system is Better and its base on my experience over a dozens of BF games since the early 2000s so Yeah !
The old classes system was always mixed and match in the most random way there is .. guns and gadjets were given at randoms trough the series history .. BF2 had 7 classes .. BF2142 had 4 BFBC1 had demolition and specs ops to but no engineers ... Repair and health was given to the support aka medic/engineer and so on and on and on .. And it as Never ever promoted teamplay and only putted shady and anoying restriction on players wich made no sens ... There was guns or classes that were terrible to play for certain maps and others OP in others .. so yeah Now players choices and taste prevail and teamwork is as much there if not more
Since i cannot find any still working site of older BF ill post this here so you can realist that my experience in BF is very extensive having played PC and COnsoles exclusive BF so basically all of them even the play4free and the joke that was hero ..
Also if you ever played planetside in your life and especially planetside 2 lol it has a class system hahaha ! Comparing COD and planetside as a " similar " type of game is not only a strech !

You nailed it right on the money when you said there are never ammo crates for med creates. I was just thinking this.
No why? Because everybody who runs with an angel or whoever else has the ammo crate literally goes in camps and uses that to spam recoilless and any other piece of equipment that they can having Loadout drop et cetera.
I'm a primary medic and I have only used the medic crate twice just because I hadn't seen it in the game so much I thought it wasn't even there and I forgot that it was that's how much you don't even see these things.
I agreed with a few of Ops points but he is over all wrong we need to be able to play together in this game that's what makes it Battlefield! foh with all that other shoot*
They shouldn't have changed the game. It's been tried and true and it works. That's why Portal is such a loved mode minus the XP and progression which is the only reason I don't play portal.

With health auto-regen, you basically never need a media crate. You just need to hide for a little while.
Game always will be changed. It's just a matter of taste. I think some changes they did is fine. I don't have a problem with Specialists. I'm getting used to using a medic and have a M5 with me to help taking out the tank which I never could do in the previous BF.
As long as it helps the objective, why doesn't have to be a specific class as before? Game evolves.

Every Battlefield game even with the class system has failed to do this though. Acting as if BF2042 is somehow the beginning of a lack of teamwork and objective play for this series comes across as being disingenuous.

Amen brother !
ALL BF so far that ever existed lacked of any meaningfull team structure and commands to enhance the team work and team cohesion .. the " BF2 commander " was a start but was brought back as a gimmick in BF4 and never taken seriously in any other BF games ..
MAG on ps3 and Planetside 2 have the best structure and command ive seen MAG being the best planetside 2 being second best .. The whole MAG game was made around encouraging teamwork and there was no rigid classes yet peoples had huge clans and 32 players lobby to match into games of 256 players ... BF have always scale down team work to only squads of 4 or 5 depending .. wich is why BF was always a struggle to get any real meaningfull teamwork ..
MAG had proximity VOIP , Had command broadcast , Squad and platoon Frago objective wich gave extra points being close to the squad leader was giving special perks and motivation and extra points . There was options to Opt in or out of the command roles so there was no randomly designated SL or PL who didnt want to do that roles and so on ..

@dougieeeAgreed, classes created to force player to play it as intended. But what I see is Angel staying far far away at the backline snipping just looking for kill, thx to freeclass system that allowed support specialist to pick sniper rifle.
