@Stew360I think you are right there. Battlefield 2042 has around 5000 players right now on steam. So if we say, that an hour has 60 minutes, there are 300.000 players each hour. So on each day (24 hours) there are 7.200.000 players on steam alone. So we take that number times 5 (because of steam, origin, epic, XBOX and PS) and we get 36.000.000 players each day on this great game.
I guess all the problems are based on this huge amount of players. Probably too many players to handle for any server in this world. Don't even get me started how many players there are, if we say an hour has 3600 seconds. Would you agree with my conclusion?
@TickTack121 You think the playercount is exponential :D By that logic the whole world is playing Microsoft Solitaire every day 🙂
The game most likely is gone by mid February and if EA wants to cut some of the losses they will likely close a lot of servers down making it really fun to find a place to play.
The playerbase is almost as low as BF1 is by now worldwide and that should tell DICE DEVS something about not messing too much with the BF-franchise.

I say normal peoples who dont work from home and work 8 to 4 or 9 to 5 dont have the time to game for 8 hours straight . Peoples with kids and wifes etc.. wich is the vast majority of the playerbase .. They get home at 17h or 18h then have to eat , then do homework with kids take care of them etc.. then Game a little then have to go to sleep because they have to wake up the next morning .. unless they are in vacantion wich is not the majority ...
SO yeah But if you want statistic here you have it ... the new norme is about 16 hours of gaming per week .. and that dosnt mean the whole 16 hours will be devoted to BF2042 only lol so yep

So indeed the average gamer play from 1 to 2 hours per day and sometime a bit more in the weekends and holiday but on this game time there could be others games involved or singleplayers games as well
So its more than fair to assume the vast majority average on Steam who play BF play about 1 to 2 hours a day on average at best and some days are skipped by some ... So my estimate are very conservative ..
Your personal experience is irrevelant some peoples will say they play 8 hours at a time .. The average is base on statistics and big picture of the gaming world .. Its not just BF that peoples only play from 1 to 2,2 hours a day its all games .. including any of those you could consider " good " . Also Mobile games are even included in most statistics
