@Stew360I think you are right there. Battlefield 2042 has around 5000 players right now on steam. So if we say, that an hour has 60 minutes, there are 300.000 players each hour. So on each day (24 hours) there are 7.200.000 players on steam alone. So we take that number times 5 (because of steam, origin, epic, XBOX and PS) and we get 36.000.000 players each day on this great game.
I guess all the problems are based on this huge amount of players. Probably too many players to handle for any server in this world. Don't even get me started how many players there are, if we say an hour has 3600 seconds. Would you agree with my conclusion?
@TickTack121 You think the playercount is exponential :D By that logic the whole world is playing Microsoft Solitaire every day 🙂
The game most likely is gone by mid February and if EA wants to cut some of the losses they will likely close a lot of servers down making it really fun to find a place to play.
The playerbase is almost as low as BF1 is by now worldwide and that should tell DICE DEVS something about not messing too much with the BF-franchise.
