Hear me out.... So we know a good majority of the battlefield community, and most veterans of the brand aren't very big fans of the whole "specialists" idea replacing classes... So how about a compromise?? Set it up like Battlefront 2!! Have a 4 class system that promotes teamwork, but have the specialists as characters that you can earn after getting a certain amount of points through gameplay. We get classes, people that wanna lone wolf it can get their specialists, and EA gets to collect their money from the people they wanna sell skins and sweet colored gats too Problem solved. You're welcome! Edit: All caps removed from title.

@simple89mh That's how I originally thought they were going to work.Imagine, BattleFront with 128 players and all you see are 50 vaders, 50 Lukes and 10 solos and 18 yodas...This is why this specialist crap dont work. The beta proved it. IMO.

@simple89mh No I hate Battlefront 2. I always thought that game would have been better if it was more BF style. Its a hero shooter. BFV had a good soldier customization system. They could have improved on that.Specialist should be cosmetic skins only like Elites in BFV. They should be decoupled from and gadgety and traits. Give them a unique melee. Bring back custom generic soldiers.

Honestly @simple89mh ,I do not see the specialists as any big problem at all.We simply just play BF2042 and all the other BF maps in the Portal Servers and have the classic soldier classes enabled and the specialists disabled as we don't want them.Many do not want any of that super hero nonsense.

@ManMang0 Go look at the comments section for the specialists video from battlefield on youtube, or go to JackFrags channel and check the comments. The truth of the matter is people play battlefield to get away from the whole call of duty style gameplay, characters, and "pay to upgrade" for guns and characters... It feels as if they're just trying to copy multiple elements, and its the very things that we play battlefield to get away from.

I do not see the specialists as any big problem at all.
We simply just play BF2042 and all the other BF maps in the Portal Servers and have the classic soldier classes enabled and the specialists disabled as we don't want them.
Many do not want any of that super hero nonsense.

The whole game depends on the portal, which we have not seen yet. Hope it works as intended, but when you know Dice it can go both ways.

I play battlefield V that many complain about and I think it's wonderful, I feel sorry for the people who don't accept changes, it's a natural evolution of the game, I'm really enjoying the innovations
