Specialist specific takedown animations

Collecting dogtags via takedowns is an underwhelming experience in Battlfefield 2042 compared to other titles in the franchise. Something which Dice could have maybe improved by using my suggestion; specialist specific takedowns! Since they have specific abilities, why not use these as part of a takedown specific to them?
It could have been a specialist tier 1 unlock reward on top of the T1 skins.

These could look like this for example:
- Sundance: suffocate the victim with her wingsuit

- Dozer: a bash with the shield to floor the victim, followed by breaking the neck with the edge of the shield

- MacKay: Use the grapplehook to pierce an enemy, and/or then use the cable to strangle the vicitim

- Zain: execution with the airburst rifle
- Boris: use the folded sentry gun to smack an enemy in the head

- Lis: use the backfire of the G-84 TGM to kill the vicitim (should not go at the expense of a rocket though)

- Crawford: similar to Boris, use the folded Vulcan to smack the victim
- Falck: use the syrette pistol to overdose the victim by shooting them with all 8 rounds at once.

- Angel: instead of the loadout crate parachuting down, it drops with speed onto the victim squashing them (loadout crate would also be destroyed on impact to not gain further benefit)
- Caspar: Death by recon drone, either by the blades of the drone or electrocution via the EMP burst
- Paik: the EMG-X Scanner will mark the victim which is than killed by some precision airstrike
- Blasco: again similar to Boris and Crawford, use the infiltration device to smack the victim.

I admit some of these suggestions are better than others, and for some specialists I did not have any inspiration, like Irish and Rao, but who cares about the latter one anyway?
What do you think of this concept, and do you have other suggestions?

I really like the idea but currently we have already different looking animations cause of different type of melee weapons that bring their own animation with them.

So an extra difference again by different type of specialists will be ptobably a pretty big mix of things.

This will probably not happen as it'll will take a lot of time to create those new animations since we have many specialists and animations are in 3rd person perspective in this game while executed.

Second reason why we probably won't see this coming is that the game already passed 1,5 years since release, and such big changes i don't think we'll at this late stage.

@Its_Travis_199 Yes I realize it won't happen anymore this late in the lifecycle of the game. Rather see it as a missed opportunity.

Although we do have different animations, variety is limited with either knives or sticks. Again a missed opportunity.

@RanzigeRidder2 yeah it would be nice to see but as i said at least we have the different melee weapons that bring different animations.

Maybe specialist specific animations would have been cooler than melee weapon specific ones. 😛

But imo, melee takedowns where you take tags should have stayed in first person perspective anyway. Like we had it on previously titles.

@Its_Travis_199 Exactly, takedowns are quite underwhelming in this game. The 3rd person perspective is probably contributing to that, but if you want to go that route at least make that 3rd person view worth looking at.

Although there's variation currently due to the different melee weapons, there's nothing that stands out as truly epic.

@RanzigeRidder2 I still wish they would get rid of all the 3rd person takedown animations. All BF2042 takedowns feel very unsatisfying. And I don't need more versions of takedowns, but less.

These would be pretty funny to see. The Casper one makes me think of Evil Dead Rise. Getting a "get over here" Mortal Kombat moment from the MacKay one too.

I rarely go for takedowns in this game though. It feels like a lot of the time, when I try, I get killed mid-animation. That might be on me for picking the wrong time to strike though.

For me I would rather have more 'realistic' take-downs, different ones for prone players, crouched players, standing players etc etc. And in 1st person. Earlier titles did this fine, killing a prone player with a spade was 'nice' in BF1.

I think the 3rd person take-downs are pretty lame and some of them are totally out of place. If you melee a proned player, they have to stand up before being killed, it looks stupid.
