Specialists = Forced Gender & Appearance
So while I am not totally against the specialist system, I do object to the fact I have a “forced gender, and appearance”. Even BFV we could select the gender and generally how my avatar looked… now...

The irony in all this is that people whinged like hell about being able to pick any gender in BFV (setting be damned before the pedants chime in!).
Just goes to show that DICE can never please the 'community'!

@Trokey66 Maybe you and I remember the BFV gender discussion differently. It wasn't about being able to pick any gender, it was about being able to pick female characters, who supposedly didn't belong in a WWII setting, and worse, the default for Medic and Recon was female.
So actually the discussion is lead by the same people now, that started complaining about forced to play a female character, when you want to play a medic. But yeah we got Angel, but maybe there is a problem with him being Romanian, too.

I think if you feel like anyone is forcing "gender" on you, maybe you need therapy.
- @Buzzfunk If you want to use a certain gadget that's tied to a certain soldier do you have the option to switch male or female? The answer is no. Its is in fact forced because you have no choice. Hence "gender locked". BFV you had a choice one way or the other. This has nothing to do with misandry or being misogynistic. It's all about choice.

She is a gender fluid lizard person code named “Shania Twain” from the Draco constellation escaping from eons of nonstop civil war, the character will also have abilities for 8 second that makes everyone’s heads explode in a 5 mile radius, the movie “Scanners” style. And we complain about wall hack balancing, imagine that. Sheesh.
