I'm glad that DICE has somehow brought us back the Spectator. Unfortunately only in Portal but its the bf2042 Dice Team.. whatever. The Specator mode is okay, it didn't have to take the whole picture, but at least now we see what's happening on the battlefield. But why don't you spawn directly into the game? How can you develop something like that. Why don't you take your cue from BF4? Why can't I just become my squad member deployed in the deploy window directly into the game?

@NehkidGramma84 Should've been in the game from the start, and server browser and all the other stuff they had sorted in older BF titles but some bright spark fresh out of college had some fresh ideas i guess. If it aint broke DONT fix it

Honestly squad spectator was just a waste of time and effort. I don't want to spectate my squad member to see if it's safe. I'm just going to spawn on him regardless. That's's what the warning is for, if their in a fight you take the risk when you spawn on them.By the time I go to spectator mode and back again to spawn the fight will be over or it may not be safe anymore.Should of added a server browser and some extra more maps for season 7. One thing EA was really bad on was organization and planning.

@ennomo96 Maybe they are trying to test it out in portal, see how it goes, trying to get players to polish out the kinks, report bugs, etc, before implementing it into the core game! :D

@ElliotLHI'm on XBOX - so don't know if it's my custom setting on the controller, but I cant respawn... Just swopping views between squad members with no way to exit the squad spectator screen...Left side of screen says PRESS A TO REDEPLOY and on the Right side of screen PRESS A TO VIEW PLAYER CARD - So it just show squad members card on and off and cant respawn...Had to leave squad create own squad lock it so no one else joint so I wont be stuck view them in spectator mode again...Can I turn spectator mode off?Anybody else on XBOX Controller having an issue?

I can try replicating the bug on my Xbox and see if I can work out what's happening, but I won't be able to until much later today. However, other people might chime in with a solution in the meantime.

Squad Spectator Modifier is a big fail i guess? Update 6.3.0

@ennomo96 Agreed. Bit crap not spawning on the player you're spectating. They had it right in BF3.

It's been in hazard zone from the beginning so for a couple years now and done the right way spawning directly into the battlefield.

Im on xbox with controller and cant respawn… i see the team members. It says press A to deploy on one side other side says press A to show player card….
only way to deploy was to create my own squad and lock it so that i can deploy again….
