Yes, the lock-on time for wildcats is really short, but there are counters to this. For example, flying under the radar altitude will prevent them and other lock-on weapons from locking onto you. Combine this with the above and some game sense and you will keep your Draugr alive much longer. With game since I mean, wildcats tend to camp near or in the spawn, so avoid those areas.
And my final tip; as you already called it it is a stealth bomber, so stay away from dog fights as it is not its purpose. You will lose 9 out of 10 versus a jet.

Don't think refraining from engaging other jets is a good idea in this game because they're your biggest threat. You'll at the very lease have to evade them, which requires flying to a certain extent in circles above 30 m. The wildcat being able to destroy the drone so effortlessly is a silly design decision
