Seriously, it takes 4 stingers to bring down a bird. Even if we get a lock, which you can prevent with obstacles, the missiles dont hit because
If anything needs to be done to the AA, it is fixing their targeting. It is hella frustrating to get good tone in this game, and the missile flys off in the opposite direction and explodes.
The only time my AA words every time is on Drones now. Even with SOFLAM'd targets half the time they miss
NOTHING needs to be done to the AA to improve birds life expectancy. Pilot Better

- They're bugged as hell. They fly off in all directions.
- You out range them when you hear tone
- You LOS them
- Ridiculously low time for flares to renew

Both sides are bugged. Stingers don’t lock properly even when I’m clearly painting the target and missiles fly off in the opposite direction randomly. In the air the lock on notification doesn’t always work I’ll get hit with a missile without a full lock on notification. Flares don’t always work and the missile will still find me even while I’m still flaring. Both sides need to be fixed.
And stingers are not dodgeable at all so idk why people have been pushing that narrative.
Dodge is a bad word. You can interpose objects to block the missile.
That being said, flares cooldown is pretty short and it takes 4 missiles to bring you down. Missiles do not need nerfed

It takes 2 hits to bring me down but I get why you say 4 bc you need me to pop before you can hit me. I get it. I’m not asking for a missile nerf. I’m saying they need to fix the bugs bc if they actually worked as intended I do believe they are powerful tools.
for the dodge part, I deleted my first comment bc I sounded like I was whining. You got to it faster than I could delete so that’s what happened there

They're probably confusing them with vehicle based AA missiles which can absolutely be dodged by Nightbird since they devs screwed up the min/max turn speeds on them and made them about 25% less maneuverable than Stingers:
