Hallelujah! Both PC and console players agree that crossplay has to go.
BTW: Aim assist is not needed on console if we don't have deal with PC players. - Luke88gw6 months agoSeasoned Adventurer
Twordy, there is no snap aim assist for sniper rifles just slowdown. Do you really think controller is a superior input over mnk because aim assist? No at all. Without aim assist aiming on controllers would very painful and imprecise. Its not an aimbot. On the other hand console players are angry about PC cheaters which isnt really true in vast majority of cases. You guys have plenty advantage over consoles and yes I'm wholly for the new bf to turn off PC-consoles crossplay by default and replace it with Xbox Series-PS5 crossplay by default and optional PC-console crossplay but without aim assist (console players would be able to pick mnk in this optional crossplay). We should realize that they wont do that for 2042 because they ended supporting the game. But if the next BF is like that I'm done with the franchise.
JOGAGATYAI'm not against console only crossplay. On Xbox you cant find a game with crossplay off and with crossplay on 70% of players are PC. That's why I prefer the old gen version where you face PS5/PS4 and XOne/XSeries players. Gameplay between old gen and next gen version is day and night. Of course I'm talking about the 64 player mode.
I would debate if aim assist is not needed on consoles. When I play against console only servers I turn off snap aim assist because I dont need it because it snaps to enemy's centre. But slowdown? playing without it at high sens is nearly impossible for me.

Just Do Away With Cross-play to PC!
As I've said before, if Dice has to implement crutches (aim-assist, less recoil and whatever else you get) in order for console players to compete against PC players, then why even have cross-play to begin with? From what I've read on here and other sites, it seems to me most console players don't want to play against PC players, and PC players don't want to play against console players and their special "features". And if the next BF game is good, filling the game with players won't be an issue, even without cross-play.
I hope the next BF game only has cross-play between XBox and PS players. And let PC players only play against each other. It worked great in the past, and I hope it goes back to that. Besides, all the crying I've seen about PC players having an unfair advantage, or that we're all cheaters, has gotten tiresome to see. Yeah, just go back to the way BF was before cross-play and hopefully that will make the majority of us happy! Dice doesn't have to please us all, just the majority of us. Maybe they should send out a survey regarding cross-play to get some feedback. I'll happily take that survey.

I can imagine that some console players would be angry that they can no longer play with their PC friends. If there is no desync between platforms (some people say that its the case in BF2042) they should play with them but without aim assist (with a controller or mnk). We should get rid of the era when devs pretend that its possible to balance so diffrently working inputs. Mixing controllers with aim assist and mnk should stay in co-op.
