I do agree with the splitting of jets and helicopters part. The number of helis or jets though I'd like to see set per map shouldn't be much of an increase, but I shouldn't need to sit at the spawn screen and spam the spawn button to get the air vehicle I need.
We used to have attack helicopters, littlebirds, stealth and attack jets all existing more or less on a single map. Maps that were smaller than what we have currently too! I get the frustration over air vehicles. From the ground, it's not that easy to fight against unless you have the Wildcat or a good anti-air focused squad. The best way to fight against a pro pilot on the other team was with your own aircraft. Much more difficult to do now as you're fighting over both jet and heli pilots on the respawn screen.
For vehicle counts, I would say the smallest maps (Kaleidoscope, Manifest) could use more helicopters and less jets (maybe 1 each or all heli), while the largest could have about the same number of jets and helis with a larger quantity of each. I would say the largest could have 2 jets and 2 helis, as well as the current setup of 2 transport. That has the potential of up to 6 enemy air vehicles in the sky at once. I would think 4 - 5 would be ideal for those biggest maps (Breakaway, Hourglass).
