Strange in-game overlay, how to remove?

For several months I've had this overlay popup in the lower right of the screen. It obscures the vehicle passenger list. It serves no purpose for me and I don't know how to remove it. Might be third-party as I've uninstalled the game once already.

  • @DrRipp it's the networking performance diagnostics, you can turn them off in options.

  • @DrRippAs Anobix said go to options. Right on that first screen go to Network. Under Network, you can see a variety of bars or graphs you can turn on, you can turn the overlay off there. I play with them on, I can see my connection to the server and decide if I’m going to stay as somehow different MM servers act differently with my computer. If my time nudge is above 20 I bail. If my latency to the server (ALAT) is higher than 40 (my latency is 28) I bail. If my bandwidth is all over the darn place, I restart my modem. They’re handy to have on. You can also adjust their position on screen so it’s not in your face.
  • It's poping up because you are getting some output packet loss, and you have the network setting to show graph on errors. These are packets from your client to the server that are being dropped somewhere. Could be your local machine, local network, ISP, or anywhere on the Internet between you and the servers (AWS). You can see in the graph there is some historic PL outbound even though the PL out shows 0. This is because the counter is not cumulative and resets every poll interval.

@DigitalHype The graph needs to be set to do that though, it’s not a default where it opens to show an event then closes. If it’s opening occasionally rather than being on permanently, it can be turned off. At the end of the day, the OP turned it on and can turn it off. The default is all off.

@ATFGunr I'm aware of this. And noted it in my reply where I wrote "It's poping up because you are getting some output packet loss, and you have the network setting to show graph on errors"

I just wanted to offer some additional explanation so the OP could understand they do have a minor issue as well.

@DigitalHype I know that you know, but does Ripp know? He may not realize it’s optional. 😉 We’re both just trying to help, yay us.

Yea, I just starting getting this. I don't think it likes the nvidia overlay any more (no idea why). To turn off NV Overlay-

    1. Right click on the Nvidia system tray icon and select NVIDIA GeForce Experience.
    2. Log into your NVIDIA account.
    3. Click the Settings icon (gear) on top right.
    4. In the GENERAL tab, move the switch setting to off IN-GAME OVERLAY and exit.

Update- turned NV overlay off, no more nag.
