@doubleomeSure there are people who use macros for recoil control. But there are decent players in general.
I wouldn't call myself a "Pro" player, but I'm at least half decent. 3.4 k/d in BF5 and currently getting very close to flat 3 k/d in 2042. I never use any 3rd party "soft" like mouse macros or scripts to control recoil or help me in any way. Unless you count a mouse with extra buttons (G502 lightspeed) an unfair advantage.
Using the same weapons most of the time you just learn the pattern and recoil. In BF5 times I got fairly good with STG44 to the point where people joined as a spectator and accused me of cheating. People from old BF forums might remember me posting a huge pile of chat screenshots(Literally like 100+ chat screenshots) of people calling me out for cheating. I even posted videos for them proving that I'm not.
And then you have a guy like Silk and cope_more who absolutely demolish their enemies in choppers. Do they use scips and macros too?
